Dniprovskyi Iron and Steel Works to modernize three continuous billet casting machines

According to the website of Dniprovskyi Iron and Steel Works (DMK), the company is going to modernize three continuous billet casting machines (CCM).

 

DMK is going to increase production capacity of CCM No. 2. Today, it produces up to 700 thousand tons yearly. The company is planning to commence the CCM modernization by the end of the current year.

DMK is also planning on modernization of the continuous casting machines No. 1 and 3. The company is going to increase their production capacity to 1.3 million tons. As a result, the company is expecting to achieve an overall continuous billet casting capacity of 3 million tons by the end of this year.

Dniprovskyi Iron and Steel Works is one of the largest industrial companies in Ukraine. It specializes in production of pig iron, steel and rolled products.

As reported earlier, DMK is improving the technology of rolling billets made of Azovstal’s slabs.
