Centravis Zakarpattia branch received the first contracts for the production of pipes

The Centravis company, one of Europe’s largest suppliers of stainless pipes, received the first contracts for the production of pipes at the newly created production facilities in Uzhhorod. This was stated by the company’s sales director Artem Atanasov in the letter to customers.

“We launched our production in Uzhgorod few weeks ago and we already have received some orders from new customers to be produced there. Last week I have visited our clients in Germany. We had productive and fruitful discussions which definitely would help us to find new possibilities for extending our cooperation,” he noted.

According to him, despite the massive missile attack by the Russian troops of Ukraine last week, there were no changes in the energy supply. The production of Centravis in Nikopol is operating at full capacity, in particular, the hot and cold shops.

The company’s logistics team constantly monitors the safest ways to deliver finished products. Sales offices work all over the world – in Essen, Milan, Krakow, Lugano, Houston and Dubai.

As the production director of Centravis, Andriy Krasyuk, noted in GMK Center’s interview, it is planned to start production there with a volume of approximately 25% of what was done in the cold shop at the main facilities before the war.

The first pipes for decoration are planned to be issued in January 2023. Initially, the new production will depend on the hot facilities in Nikopol – they will produce a billet pipe from an empty rod. In the future, it is planned to attract suppliers of pipe billets from Europe and India.

As GMK Cente reported earlier, in January-November 2022, Centravis reduced pipe production by 34% compared to the same period last year – to 10.6 thousand tons. Despite the significant reduction in production, the company’s revenue is about 90% of the pre-war 2021.
