ArcelorMittal will continue to work on a special schedule in September

ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih and the company’s subsidiaries will continue to work according to a special schedule in September 2022. This is reported in the corporate newspaper Metallurg.

Employees will continue to receive wages on time. At the same time, its size will be calculated in accordance with the reduced load and reduced working hours.

Most of the staff, including management and foreign workers, will continue to work at 2/3 of full time in September. At the same time, employees will be paid 2/3 of the salary.

Employees of the mining department, whose work has been suspended for three months since August, will also receive a third less salary.

The plant will continue to maintain a place of work and a position for each military liable employee of the enterprise conscripted during mobilization.

Also, employees who are in forced downtime can take a vacation of up to 24 days at their own request.

“A special schedule of work and wages was adopted at the enterprise with the sole purpose of keeping the company afloat and preserving all jobs as much as possible, so that after the war the enterprise would have a chance to revive and work at full capacity,” the message reads.

As GMK Center reported earlier, ArcelorMittal has tranferred most of its employees, including top management and foreign employees, to 2/3 workload schedules due to the inability to pay full salaries.

The plant has problems with the shipment of products for export. Due to the blockade of ports, the company was forced to switch logistics to rail transport. At the same time, delivery costs have increased by 5 times.
