PJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih” launched the production of traffic spikes for the city defense. It is stated in the press release of the enterprise on the Facebook page.
For traffic spikes production the plant employees used sixteenth rebar, and chains. There large barrels were welded, about 450 spikes each, and then they were welded to the chain. In total there are 8 protective chains with spikes 15-20 meters in length.
It has launched almost serial production of these products, which put to work welders, metal cutters, millman, locksmiths, and others.
Spikes will keep the enemy out of the city by piercing the tires of wheeled vehicles with manpower, fuels, Grads, and other wheeled installations.
“Reliable protection. We deployed it, the car drove over, damaging wheels. None of us gave up, everybody is ready to defend the city. Many have signed up for territorial defense. We will not give the country to them!”, summarized in the message.
As GMK Center reported previously, on March 3, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih began to stop metallurgical production. The coking plant is operating at hot idle, while the mining department is operating at minimum capacities.
The company continues to pay the wages to all employees in full amount, regardless if they work at the plant, at home, are on paid leave, or had been called up for military services in the Armed Forces in Ukraine.
As a reminder, the plant earlier allocated $2 million to meet humanitarian needs of Ukraine during the war with Russia. In addition the employees of the enterprise manufactured more than 56 anti-tank hedge-hogs.
