PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has paid UAH 4.1 billion of taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels of Ukraine in 2023. The company’s press service informed GMK Center.
UAH 243 million went to the state budget and UAH 2.2 billion – to local budgets. The company also transferred almost UAH 751 million of single social contribution (SSC) and UAH 856 million of value added tax on imports of raw materials.
In the structure of taxes and fees in 2023, the largest amount is land tax. Thus, the local community of Kryvyi Rih received more than UAH 1.4 billion of land tax from the company. This is by UAH 280 mln more compared to 2022.
In 2022, the company paid UAH 8.8 billion of taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels of Ukraine. This is by 39.7% less compared to 2021. Thus, the volume of payments in 2023 decreased by 53.4% y/y.
As GMK Center reported, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih reduced steel production by 18.5% in 2023 compared to 2022 – to 1 million tons. Iron output decreased by 7.2% y/y – to 1.5 mln tons. Rolled steel output totaled 0.9 million tons, down 19.2% y/y.
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih is a full-cycle steelmaker in Ukraine. Its production capacity is designed for annual output of over 6 million tons of steel, 5 million tons of rolled products and 5.5 million tons of pig iron. The enterprise provides more than 20 thousand jobs.
