ArcelorMittal is among the top 25 best employers in Ukraine for young people

PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has been included in the TOP 25 Employers of Ukraine Open to Talents Under 25 according to STUD-POINT. This was reported in the corporate newspaper Metalurg.

The annual rating is traditionally compiled based on the responses to a questionnaire on the interaction of companies with young people. ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih is among the best in this area in the non-IT category in 2024.

The professional jury highly appreciated the company’s youth projects, noting that it creates many opportunities and prospects for young people, systematically develops this area, and tries to support and actively attract young talent to the company.

According to Kateryna Zaloznykh, HR Director at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, the company has many interesting projects and programs, from educational to entertainment, that allow young talents to choose something for themselves.

“For example, the internship program GoPro – Time to Become a Professional. After six months, students are officially employed at our company, assigned a mentor, and have an individual development plan. We organize excursions around the enterprise, soft-skills development trainings, and team building for young people. From the first day of the internship, they have opportunities not only to gain their first working experience, immerse themselves in the work of an international company, but also to develop in the 3Dilnytsia youth community and become an ambassador of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih,” said Kateryna Zaloznykh.

In 2024 alone, more than 250 people in various professions (economists, HR, engineers, and workers) became trainees of the company.

One of the most successful projects for young people, which, among other things, helped ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih win, was the New Factory initiative with elements of dual education. The project cooperates with 13 educational institutions in the city.

As part of it, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih selects students of the professions it needs to study in the project for 2 years based on interviews. In the first 1.5 years, its participants receive additional training at the expense of the company in a full course of metallurgy and English, actively communicate with specialists in the workshops, have their own program of communication and teamwork training, attend a session in the relevant disciplines and can receive an additional scholarship from the company.

As noted, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has big and ambitious plans for the youth direction for 2025 and invites young people to join projects.

In 2024, the company allocated more than UAH 60 million to support communities and provide charitable assistance to war-affected people. These areas became the main ones in its social and charitable activities last year.
