ANNOUNCEMENT: WSD European Steel Conference 2022

On November 14-16, the European Steel Conference will be held in Milan (Italy) by the American consulting company World Steel Dynamics (WSD).

During three days, top managers of leading European steel companies and high-ranking representatives of key global steel producers will speak at the conference, including:

  • Antonio Marcegaglia, Chairman and CEO of the Marcegaglia Group;
  • Yuriy Ryzhenkov, Chief Executive Officer, Metinvest;
  • Mario Caldonazzo, Chief Executive Officer, Arvedi.

Among the invited speakers are also heads of global technology companies Danieli, Midrex, Hatch, Fives, PSI, ABB, AMI Automation and others.

The purpose of the event is to analyze the current challenges faced by global steel industry, that is:

  • stability of industry in conditions of energy crisis;
  • transformation of global trade models;
  • economic prospects in the context of recessionary trends in the economy.

Among the main topics for discussion during the conference are “International Steel: Re-approaching a rapidly evolving global marketplace”, “Raw Materials: upstream supply chains under green pressure”, and “Energy crisis in Europe and the impact on future ESG ambitions”.
