ANNOUNCEMENT: Future Steel Forum 2026

The Future Steel Forum 2026, organized by Steel Times International, will take place on June 3–4, 2026, in Bologna, Italy.

The event will bring together innovators, decision-makers, and technology leaders from the global steel industry. This flagship conference explores the future of the steel industry with a focus on digital transformation, smart manufacturing, sustainability, and innovation.

The Future Steel Forum 2026 will feature thought-provoking presentations, case studies, interactive panel discussions, and opportunities to network with peers and innovators shaping the next era of steel.

Topics to be discussed at the conference include:

  • decarbonization and digitalization, digital transformation in the steel industry,
  • direct reduction using natural gas and hydrogen—the most advanced path to reducing carbon emissions,
  • constraints on steel raw materials and the limits of circular steel production based on scrap,
  • challenges of the transition to “green” steel in the EU and Italy,
  • new opportunities for the European steel industry in the production of automobiles and components.
