In January 2021, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih PJSC (AMKR) cut production of rolled products by 14.1% to 390 thousand tons against January 2020, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
Steel production fell by 3.5% to 415 thousand tons over the month compared to January 2020. Pig iron production increased by 8.1% to 468 thousand tons, while production of sinter ore decreased by 0.6% to 800 thousand tons.
In December, AMKR produced 420 thousand tons of rolled products, 440 thousand tons of steel, 480 thousand tons of pig iron and 880 thousand tons of sinter ore.
In 2020, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih cut production of rolled products by 7.6% to 4.3 million tons against 2019. Steel production fell by 12.1% to 4.7 million tons, and pig iron by 6.9% to 4.9 million tons.
