In March 2024, Zaporizhstal Iron and Steel Works increased its production of commercial rolled steel products by 45.5% compared to March 2023, to 219.4 thousand tons. This is stated in the company’s press release.
The volume of pig iron production for the month amounted to 273.1 thousand tons, up 41.1% y/y, and steel production – 260 thousand tons (+41% y/y). Rolled steel production increased by 10.5% y/y, pig iron production – by 9.8% y/y, and steel production – by 10.4% y/y.
In January-March, rolled steel production increased by 88.9% year-on-year – to 615.3 thousand tons. Pig iron production amounted to 785.4 thousand tons (+71.4% y/y), and steel production amounted to 731 thousand tons (+85.7% y/y).
In January 2024, Zaporizhstal produced 196 thousand tons of rolled products, 261 thousand tons of pig iron and 235.5 thousand tons of steel, and in February – 198.5 thousand tons, 248.8 thousand tons and 235.4 thousand tons, respectively.
