Zaporizhabrasive participated in the creation of a project on military leadership training

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, Zaporizhzhia Abrasive Plant (Zaporizhabrasive) has been actively involved in helping the defenders of Ukraine. In addition, even before the start of the Great War, the company supported a project to train a new generation of military leaders – junior sergeants and officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

According to the operational director of Zaporizhbrasive Svitlana Dubinina, Military Leadership Center is an educational project aimed at the needs of the Ukrainian army. It was created with the ideological support of Zaporizhabrasive, the company also provides assistance in its implementation.

The non-governmental organization that trains defenders of Ukraine has been operating for a year and a half. Its main goal is to form a methodology for training military leaders who could lead personnel.

In particular, from March 2022 to April 2023, the NGO developed and implemented 10 methods of military leadership, assessment of combat psychological readiness, control of combat and operational stress; conducted 220 trainings in military units; created 3 documentaries Military leaders of Ukraine; has developed and is testing two relevant mobile applications.

According to Svitlana Dubinina, the NGO teaches leaders, commanders of various non-commissioned ranks, junior officers how to manage units based on NATO standards. The applied methodologies were officially approved at the level of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

«The Center for Military Leadership consults with retired US and UK military personnel on instructor training. In fact, our center has become a certain hub for the implementation of the best practices of the NATO army in Ukraine in the direction of moral and psychological support,» she notes.

Through the project, the defenders of Ukraine acquire knowledge of how to stimulate the personnel to perform complex combat tasks and reward their subordinates, to carry out an analysis of the actions taken. The NGO has also developed methodologies for the so-called psychological relief of fighters after they are withdrawn from the line of battle for recovery, and methodologies for the possibility of rest in the combat zone, etc.

«The success of this or that tactical operation and, in general, the success of this or that strategic operation in the theater of war depends on how well the sergeants will be trained,» the NGO believes.

As GMK Center reported earlier, from the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, from February 24, 2022, Zaporizhabrasive directed for the needs of the Armed Forces, payments to servicemen and their families over UAH 7 million. More than 1 million of the total amount was spent on direct assistance to the defenders of Ukraine – these funds went to the production of hedgehogs, payment for transport repairs, the purchase of tools, spare parts, special clothing, diesel fuel and gasoline, etc.
