US sets final anti-dumping margin on Interpipe seamless pipes

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the final results of the administrative review of antidumping duties on seamless standard, line and pressure pipes of carbon and alloy steel (seamless pipes) from Ukraine. This is reported by SteelOrbis.

The inspection covered the period from February 10, 2021, to July 31, 2022. The DOC found that during this period the Ukrainian pipe manufacturer Interpipe sold the relevant products at prices lower than market prices. The weighted average dumping margin for the company amounted to 4.99% – in line with the preliminary finding made public last September

In December 2023, the US imposed final anti-dumping duties on Interpipe’s OCTG pipes – the tariffs will apply at 4.89% of the product value

The investigation on imports of Ukrainian products was conducted in the period from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022. The agency concluded that Interpipe supplied products to American consumers at lower prices than market prices during the inspection period.

As GMK Center previously reported, the United States reduced imports of pipes from Ukraine by 18% in 2023 compared to 2022 – to 93.71 thousand tons. Import expenditures for this period fell by 21.3% y/y – in December 2023, U.S. buyers consumed 6.9 thousand tons of pipes from Ukraine, which is 2.2 times more than in December 2022 and 20.1 times more than in the previous month.
