UMCC put up for sale 2.1 thousand tons of scrap metal worth UAH 7.6 million

The auction for the sale of secondary scrap metal is scheduled for November 18, 2022

United Mining and Chemical Company (UMCC) plans to sell 2.1 thousand tons of scrap metal with a total value of UAH 7.6 million. This is evidenced by the information on the trading platform Prozorro.Sales.

In general, two lots are offered. The first lot is 2.09 thousand tons of scrap metal types 501, 502, 503, including shavings, parts from heavy equipment, cables, etc. The total starting price of the lot is UAH 7.2 million. Scrap is located in the Dnipropetrovsk region (1.37 thousand tons) at the Vilnohorsk mining and metal complex, and in the Zhytomyr region (718.6 tons) at the Irshansk Mining.

The second lot consists of 20 tons of pig iron scrap ChH22 type 508 and subtype 370. The starting value of scrap metal is 476,000 UAH. Secondary raw materials are located at the Irshansk Mining.

Auctions for both lots are scheduled for November 18, 2022. The deadline for submitting price offers is November 17.

UMCC produces titanium raw materials. The company sells its products in more than 30 countries around the world. Sales geography – EU, China, Turkiye, USA, Africa. It consists of two branches: Vilnohorsk mining and metal complex and Irshansk Mining.

As GMK Center reported earlier, the volume of scrap collection in Ukraine for January-September 2022 decreased by 73.5% compared to the same period of 2021 – to 830 thousand tons. Scrap supplies to Ukrainian steel enterprises decreased by 70.1% y/y – to 755.5 thousand tons. During this period, 35.2 thousand tons of scrap metal were exported.
