Ukraine’s trade turnover amounted to $17.6 billion in January-February

Ukraine’s trade turnover in January-February 2025 amounted to $17.6 billion. This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service.

During the period, Ukraine imported $11.3 billion worth of goods and exported $6.3 billion. At the same time, taxed imports amounted to $8.6 billion, which is 76% of the total volume of imported goods.

The countries from which Ukraine imported the most goods were: China – $2.6 billion, Poland – $1 billion, and Germany – $841 million. Ukraine exported the most goods to Poland – by $714 million, Spain – by $464 million, and Italy – by $449 million.

In January-February, 67% of the total volume of imported goods was made up of:

  • machinery, equipment and transport – $4.3 billion
  • chemical products – $2 billion;
  • fuel and energy products – $1.4 billion.

The top three most exported goods from Ukraine were food products ($3.7 billion), metals and metal products ($624 million), and machinery, equipment, and transport ($568 million).

In January-February 2025, UAH 41.2 million was paid to the budget during customs clearance of exports of goods subject to export duties.

As GMK Center reported earlier, in 2024, Ukraine’s trade turnover increased by 13% compared to 2023, from $99.4 billion to $112.3 billion. During the year, Ukraine imported $70.7 billion worth of goods and exported $41.6 billion.
