In March 2021, Ukraine’s exports of semi-finished products rose by 11.7% to 799.5 thousand tons against March last year. Export revenues grew by 58% to $432.6 million, according to the customs statistics.
In January–March 2021, Ukraine’s steelmaking companies increased revenues from semi-finished products exports by 26% to $968.3 million compared to the same period of the previous year.
In Q1, Ukraine exported 2.02 million tons of semi-finished products, 1.8% down from Q1 2020.
The main consumers of Ukrainian semi-finished products were Italy (26.3%), Turkey (25%), and the Dominican Republic (11.3%).
As GMK Center reported earlier, in 2020, volumes of Ukraine’s exports of semi-finished products grew by 6.3% to 7.49 million tons against 2019. Conversely, revenues from exports of semi-finished products fell by 3.8% to $2.75 billion.
