Ukraine’s revenues from exports of metals jumped 67% in 7M

Revenues of Ukrainian steelmaking companies from exports of ferrous metals in January–July rose by 66.9% to $7.55 billion y-o-y, according to the customs statistics of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

In July 2021, revenues from exports of ferrous metals amounted to $1.4 billion, 126% up from July 2020.

The share of ferrous metals in the structure of Ukraine’s foreign currency earnings in 7M increased to 21.2% against 16.9% in 7M last year.

In January–July, imports of ferrous metals increased by 27.1% to $710 million and reached $141.12 million in July. That is 50.7% up from July 2020.

In 2020, Ukraine’s revenues from exports of ferrous metals fell by 11.9% to $7.69 billion compared to the same period a year earlier.
