Ukraine’s revenues from exports of metals grew by 6.9% in January–February

Revenues of Ukrainian steelmaking companies from exports of ferrous metals grew by 6.9% to $1.49 million in January–February 2021 y-o-y, according to the customs statistics.

In February 2021, Ukrainian steelmaking companies exported ferrous metals worth $764.82 million. This is 12% up from February 2020.

The share of ferrous metals in the structure of Ukraine’s export revenues in 2M 2021 amounted to 17.57% against 17.22% in 2M 2020.

At the same time, in January–February Ukraine cut imports of the same products by 12.8% to $121.53 million.

As GMK Center reported earlier, in 2020 Ukrainian steelmaking companies cut ferrous metals export revenues by 11.9% to $7.69 billion against 2019. Imports of these products fell by 15.1% to $1.280 billion.
