Ukraine’s revenues from exports of metals grew by 38.2% in January–April

Revenues of Ukrainian steelmaking companies from exports of ferrous metals grew by 38.2% to $3.72 billion in January–April 2021 y-o-y, according to the customs statistics.

In April, Ukrainian steelmaking companies exported ferrous metals worth $1.05 billion. This is 65.9% up from April 2020.

The share of ferrous metals in the structure of Ukraine’s export revenues in 4M 2021 amounted to 19.3% against 16.7% in 4M 2020.

At the same time, in Q1 Ukraine increased imports of the same products by 8.9% to $320 million.

As GMK Center reported earlier, in 2020, Ukrainian steelmaking companies cut ferrous metals export revenues by 11.9% to $7.69 billion against 2019. Imports of these products fell by 15.1% to $1.280 billion.
