Ukraine’s revenues from exports of metals declined by 16% in January–October

Revenues of Ukrainian steelmaking companies from exports of ferrous metals in January–October 2020 dropped by 16% to $6.4 billion compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the customs statistics.

In October, Ukrainian steelmaking companies exported ferrous metals worth $663.5 million. This is 12.3% up from September.

The share of ferrous metals in the structure of Ukraine’s export-related foreign currency earnings in January–October amounted to 16.16% against 18.3% in the first ten months of the previous year.

At the same time, in 10M, Ukraine cut imports of similar products by 22.9% to $752.1 million. In October, this indicator was $86.6 million.

As reported earlier, in 2019, Ukraine reduced exports of ferrous metals by 12.1% to $8.7 billion against the previous year.
