Ukraine’s revenue from exports of metals fell by 19.6%

Revenue of Ukrainian steelmaking companies from exports of ferrous metals in January–July decreased by 19.6% to $4.5 billion compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the customs statistics.

In July, Ukrainian steelmaking companies exported ferrous metals worth $618.5 million.

The share of ferrous metals in the structure of foreign currency earnings of the country in January–July amounted to 17% against 19.5% in the first seven months of the previous year.

At the same time, in seven months, Ukraine cut imports of similar products by 24.7% to $558.3 ​million. In July, this indicator was $93.5 million.

As reported earlier, in 2019, Ukraine reduced exports of ferrous metals by 12.1% to $8.7 billion against the previous year.
