Ukraine’s revenue from exports of ferrous metals declined by 19% in H1

Ukrainian steelmaking companies reduced ferrous metals export revenue by 18.7% to $3.9 billion in H1 against the same period a year earlier, according to the customs statistics of the State Tax Service of Ukraine.

In June, Ukrainian steelmaking companies exported ferrous metals worth $604.1 million.

The share of ferrous metals in the structure of foreign currency earnings in January–June 2020 decreased to 17.01% against 19.6% in H1 last year.

In January–June, imports of ferrous metals reduced by 22.6% to $464.6 million.

In 2019, Ukraine cut exports of ferrous metals by 12.1% to $8.7 billion against the previous year.
