In April 2021, Ukraine’s exports of semi-finished products rose by 9.4% to 558.04 thousand tons against April last year. Export revenues grew by 68.1% to $315.4 million, according to the customs statistics.
In January–April 2021, Ukrainian steel producers increased revenues from exports of semi-finished products by 34.3% to $1.3 billion compared to the same period of 2020.
In 4M, Ukraine exported 2.58 million tons of semi-finished products, 0.5% up from January–April last year.
The main consumers of Ukrainian semi-finished products were Italy (26.04%), Turkey (23.4%), and the Dominican Republic (10.5%).
As GMK Center reported earlier, in 2020, volumes of Ukraine’s exports of semi-finished products grew by 6.3% to 7.49 million tons against 2019. Conversely, revenues from exports of semi-finished products fell by 3.8% to $2.75 billion.
