In November 2021, Ukrainian steel producers reduced exports of semi-finished products by 23.8% to 374.9 thousand tons against November 2020. At the same time, export revenues rose by 18.6% to $236.8 million, according to the customs statistics.
In 11M 2021, Ukraine’s steelmaking companies increased revenues from semi-finished products exports by 49.3% to $3.75 billion y-o-y.
In January–November, Ukrainian steelmakers exported 6.21 million tons of semi-finished products, 10.2% down y-o-y.
The major consumers of Ukrainian semi-finished products are Italy (32.85%), Turkey (12.96%), and the Dominican Republic (8.23%).
As GMK Center reported earlier, in 2020, volumes of Ukraine’s exports of semi-finished products grew by 6.3% to 7.49 million tons against 2019. Conversely, revenues from exports of semi-finished products fell by 3.8% to $2.75 billion.
