According to the customs statistics, in February 2021, volumes of Ukraine’s exports of semi-finished products shrank by 23.1% to 543.35 thousand tons against February last year. Export revenues decreased by 2.8% to $255.03 million.
In January–February 2021, Ukrainian steel producers increased revenues from exports of semi-finished products by 8.3% to $535.7 million compared to the same period of 2020.
In 2M, Ukraine exported 1.22 million tons of semi-finished products. This is 9% down from the same period of the previous year.
The main export markets for Ukrainian semi-finished products were Turkey (27.4%), Italy (24.3%), and Bulgaria (6.6%).
As GMK Center reported earlier, in 2020, volumes of Ukraine’s exports of semi-finished products grew by 6.3% to 7.49 million tons against 2019. Conversely, revenues from exports of semi-finished products fell by 3.8% to $2.75 billion.
