Ukraine’s exports of pipes grew by one third in June

In June 2021, Ukraine increased pipes exports by 32.6% to 56.7 thousand tons y-o-y. In monetary terms, pipes exports increased by 40.1% to $63.9 million, according to the customs statistics.

In January–June 2021, Ukraine’s exports of pipes in physical terms increased by 13% to 265.3 thousand tons y-o-y, and revenues from pipes exports grew by 11.6% to $303.01 million.

In H1, the share of seamless pipes in Ukraine’s exports was the largest, 196.8 thousand tons worth $243.8 million. In addition, Ukraine sold 65.9 thousand tons of other pipes and tubes worth $54.8 million.

The main export markets for Ukraine-made seamless pipes were Germany, Italy and the U.S. Poland bought more than a half of other pipes and tunes and hollow sections.

As reported earlier, in 2020, Ukraine’s pipes export revenues decreased by 22% to $521.9 million against 2019. In physical terms, exports dropped by 22.8% to 473.1 thousand tons.

The main producers of pipes in Ukraine are Interpipe NIKO TUBE LLC, Interpipe NTRP, DMZ Kominmet, Ilyich Iron and Steel Works of Mariupol, Interpipe NMPP, Trubostal, Centravis, Dnipropetrovsk Pipe Plant and Slavsant.
