In January–February, Ukrainian ferroalloy producers cut production by 29.3%, to 120.06 thousand tons, compared to the same period of the previous year,
according to Interfax-Ukraine with reference to the data of the Ukrainian Association of Producers of Ferroalloys and Other Electrometallurgical Products (UkrFA).
Over two months, Nikopol and Zaporizhzhia ferroalloy plants (NFP, ZFP) cut silicomanganese production by 36.2%, to 88.73 thousand tons, compared to the same period of the previous year.
NFP, ZFP and Kramatorsk ferroalloy plant (KFP) increased ferromanganese production by 58.2%, to 19.93 thousand tons, against January–February 2019. Over two months, KFP produced 9.6 thousand tons. Its output data for January–February 2019 are not available.
Production of ferrosilicon shrank by 51.5%, to 6.94 thousand tons, against January–February 2019.
Pokrov GOK and Marganets GOK raised manganese concentrate production by 32.9% in January–February, to 213.53 thousand tons, compared to the same period of the previous year.
