Ukraine increased exports of semi-finished products by 8.2%

According to the statistics provided by the State Tax Service of Ukraine, Ukraine increased exports of semi-finished products by 8.2% to $2.24 million.

The volume of exports of semi-finished products in September grew by 9.4% to 5.36 million tons.

The share of semi-finished products in Ukraine’s export mix exceeded 6%. Ukraine exported more than a half of these products to Italy (34%), Egypt (15.5%) and Turkey (14.8%).

The key manufacturers of semi-finished products in Ukraine are plants of the Metinvest Group, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Interpipe Steel, Dnipro Metallurgical Plant managed by DCH, Dniprovskyi Iron and Steel Works and others.

As reported earlier, in the first eight months of 2019, Ukraine decreased exports of semi-finished products by 4.5% to $2.069 billion compared to the same period of the previous year.

The volume of exports of semi-finished products in January to August, vice versa, increased by 9% to 4.9 million tons compared to 2018.

In six months, exports of semi-finished products from Ukraine increased by 0.9% to $1.7 billion.
