Ukraine increased exports of semi-finished products by 31.8% in July

In July, Ukrainian mining & metals companies increased exports of semi-finished products by 31.8% to 673.1 thousand tons against July last year. In monetary terms, exports of semi-finished products grew by 3.5% to $223.6 million, according to the customs statistics.

In January–July 2020, Ukrainian steelmaking companies cut their revenue from exports of semi-finished products by 14.8% to $1.55 billion compared to the same period of 2019.

In seven months, Ukrainian steelmaking companies exported 4.3 million tons of semi-finished products, 0.1% down from January–July last year.

The main export markets were Italy (26.31%), Turkey (15.65%), and China (8.45%).

As GMK Center reported earlier, in 2019, exports of semi-finished products from Ukraine dropped by 4.8% to $2.9 billion against the previous year. Conversely, exports of semi-finished products in physical terms grew by 12% to 7.47 million tons against 2018.
