In June 2021, Ukrainian steelmakers boosted their exports of semi-finished products by 4.2% y-o-y to 579.6 thousand tons. At the same time, in monetary terms revenues hiked by 98.3% to $376.05 million, according to the customs statistics.
In H1 2021, Ukraine’s steelmaking companies increased revenues from semi-finished products exports by 47.8% to $1.96 billion compared to January–June 2020.
In H1, Ukrainian companies exported 3.64 million tons of semi-finished products. This is 0.2% down from the same period a year earlier.
The main consumers of Ukrainian semi-finished products were Italy (30.3%), Turkey (19.5%), and the Dominican Republic (8.9%).
As GMK Center reported earlier, in 2020, volumes of Ukraine’s exports of semi-finished products grew by 6.3% to 7.49 million tons against 2019. Conversely, revenues from exports of semi-finished products fell by 3.8% to $2.75 billion.
