Turkish Tosyali to create integration of iron and steel plant in Angola

Turkish steel producer Tosyali Holding announced that it will cooperate with Angola’s sovereign naphtha company Sonangol to create an integrated steel plant. Gazete Anadolu reports about this.

As part of this partnership, Tosyali’s subsidiary in Angola (Tosyalı Iron&Steel Angola) will renew the operation of the mines in the Cassinga region, which contains the largest reserves of this ore in Angola, and create a steel plant in at the Sacomar terminal in Mokamedeshi, on the day of entry from the capital of the region.

The construction of the new metallurgical plant is planned to be completed by 2027. The integration of the industrial complex will be implemented. Tosyal Holding and the Libyan United Metallurgical Company (SULB) have signed an agreement to build the world’s largest DRI complex in Benghazi (Libya).
