Tosyali Holding, one of the largest Turkish producers of steel and steel pipes, is going to put into operation a new complex for the production of flat products in 2023. SteelOrbis reports about it.
The Sarıseki complex in the second organized industrial zone of Iskanderun will have a capacity of 4 million tons per year, the investment amounted to $2.5 billion. Initially, it was planned to be put into operation at the end of this year. The new production will contribute to the development of the region’s economy and will additionally provide work for about 1.5 thousand people.
The project, upon reaching the planned capacity, will bring the total volume of Tosyalı Holding’s steel production to 10 million tons per year.
The Tosyalı Demir Celik Sarıseki site, which is the largest industrial facility in the country, has two steel mills, each equipped with a quantum arc furnace. Thanks to the technologies that will be used in production, the object, according to chairman of the Tosyalı Holding’s board, Fuat Tosyali, will consume 15% less gas and 30% less electricity.
