According to the statistics provided by the State Statistics Service, in January to September, the volume of new orders for Ukrainian steel products amounted to ₴279,620,700, 9.5% down from the same period of 2018.
Foreign orders made ₴166,965,000 or 59.7% of the total volume of orders in the steel industry, down 11.8% on the first nine months of 2018. The share of foreign orders in the total volume also decreased, by 1.6%.
Conversely, the volume of orders for finished steel products is growing and now reached ₴28,951,000, 7.2% up from January — September 2018.
The volume of foreign orders increased by almost 2% to ₴8,001,800. Their share in the total volume, however, decreased by 4.1% to 23.9%.
