The US Department of Commerce introduced anti-dumping duties on pipes produced in Russia for oil industry segment in the amount of 12.8%-184.2%. This is reported by Interfax with the reference to Ministry’s data.
“The USA has concluded its anti-dumping investigation into oil country tubular goods imported to the US from Russia, and has found that the pipe products have been supplied to the US at below market prices,” the report said.
The investigation was conducted in the period from October 1, 2020, to September 30, 2021. The agency concluded that the dumping margin for the plants of OMK, VMZ (Vyksun Metallurgical Plant) and other Russian producers is estimated at 12.84%, and for Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) – 184.2%.
According to the results of the preliminary investigation, the dumping margin for the OMK and TMK plants was declared in the range of 11.8%-121.1%. Moreover, 11.8% – for VMZ, 121.1% – TMK, 70.49% – for other producers.
As GMK Center reported earlier, US steel enterprises in January-August 2022 increased steel imports by 8.8% compared to the same period in 2021 – up to 21.98 million tons. The amount of finished products in the total volume of steel imports to the USA in January-August 2022 was 17.8 million tons.
