The main building of Hospital No. 7 in Kryvyi Rih is being renovated with the support of Metinvest

A major renovation of the main building of City Hospital No. 7 is underway in Kryvyi Rih. The project is being implemented in partnership with the city administration, Metinvest Group, and the National Health Service of Ukraine. In total, the company has allocated UAH 61.6 million for the development of project documentation, construction and repair, roofing, and facade work. This is stated in a report by Metinvest.Media.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, City Hospital No. 7 has admitted more than 23,000 patients and is an important facility for the city, serving about 120,000 people from the Ternivskyi, Pokrovskyi, and Saksahanskyi districts and surrounding communities. In April 2025, the hospital began providing a new package of stroke treatment services, which requires a modern clinical base and rehabilitation facilities.

Renovation work began in July. Currently, builders are renovating the roof, insulating the facade, installing energy-efficient windows, waterproofing and reinforcing the foundation, and constructing porches. The modernization is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year. The work is being coordinated by the Kryvyi Rih Foundation for the Future.

Metinvest has been supporting the medical sector in Kryvyi Rih for many years, investing in repairs and technical support for hospitals. Despite the challenges of the pandemic and the war, the assistance has not stopped. In particular, in 2023, the company financed the renovation of the polyclinic building and the X-ray department of City Hospital No. 3, where the first floor and the sterilization department were renovated and a shelter for 350 people was created.

Thanks to the joint efforts of the community, authorities, and businesses, the city’s medical facilities are gaining new opportunities to provide quality care to patients even in the most difficult conditions.

As a reminder, Metinvest recently completed the construction of an upgraded NATO Role 2 underground hospital, located in one of the hottest areas of the front line. This is the second medical facility created in coordination with the Medical Forces as part of the Steel Front initiative. It is more secure and concealed, and has undergone structural changes based on the experience gained from operating the first hospital.
