Ferrexpo
Since the beginning of the war, the Ferrexpo Humanitarian Fund has donated more than 150 cars to support humanitarian needs throughout Ukraine. This is reported on the company’s Facebook page.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, the Ferrexpo Humanitarian Fund, in particular, has handed over 119 cars and 9 trucks, 9 ambulances, 4 excavators and 5 loaders, 5 buses. The value of the vehicles handed over free of charge amounted to $3.5 million.
“There is a lack of vehicles, as many of them were damaged by Russian shelling. After the liberation of the occupied territories, vehicles such as excavators and loaders are needed to dismantle damaged buildings, while others are needed to evacuate the wounded or deliver aid to the population,” the statement said.
As GMK Center reported earlier, in November 2022, Ferrexpo increased the funding of its Humanitarian Fund to $15 million. Since the beginning of the war, 5 million people and 7 regional centers of Ukraine have received assistance from the fund. In addition, since the beginning of the war, 85 evacuees have been employed at Ferrexpo facilities in Ukraine.
Also, Metinvest allocated UAH 2.8 billion to help the country during the 10 months of the war. The country’s defenders received 25,000 helmets and 150,000 body armors from the company, most of which are produced in Ukraine.
