The EU reduces anti-dumping duties on Ukrainian pipes to 8.1%

The European Commission reduced anti-dumping duties imposed on certain Ukrainian seamless pipes from 13.8% to 8.1%. Such pipes are manufactured by Ukrainian Interpipe Niko Tube and Interpipe NTRP.

A relevant document was published in the Official Journal of the European Union.

The European Commission reduced anti-dumping duties for the following Ukrainian seamless pipes and tubes of pig iron or steel, of circular cross-section, of an external diameter not exceeding 406.4 mm, currently falling within CN codes

The review of the safeguard measures was initiated by Interpipe, the key producer and exporter of pipes in Ukraine.

As reported earlier, in 2012, Interpipe negotiated reduction of the anti-dumping duty from 17.7% to 13.8% in the framework of individual revision.

Meanwhile, the U.S. re-imposed a duty on Interpipe’s products. However, the company still exports its products to the American market.
