The European Commission reduced anti-dumping duties imposed on certain Ukrainian seamless pipes from 13.8% to 8.1%. Such pipes are manufactured by Ukrainian Interpipe Niko Tube and Interpipe NTRP.
A relevant document was published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
The European Commission reduced anti-dumping duties for the following Ukrainian seamless pipes and tubes of pig iron or steel, of circular cross-section, of an external diameter not exceeding 406.4 mm, currently falling within CN codes
ex 7304 11 00, ex 7304 19 10, ex 7304 19 30, ex 7304 22 00, ex 7304 23 00, ex 7304 24 00, ex 7304 29 10, ex 7304 29 30, ex 7304 31 80, ex 7304 39 58, ex 7304 39 92, ex 7304 39 93, ex 7304 51 89, ex 7304 59 92 and ex 7304 59 93.
The review of the safeguard measures was initiated by Interpipe, the key producer and exporter of pipes in Ukraine.
As reported earlier, in 2012, Interpipe negotiated reduction of the anti-dumping duty from 17.7% to 13.8% in the framework of individual revision.
Meanwhile, the U.S. re-imposed a duty on Interpipe’s products. However, the company still exports its products to the American market.
