Between January and May 2026, the Ukrainian Export Credit Agency supported export contracts for Ukrainian manufacturers with a total value of 7.4 billion hryvnia. This is stated in a press release from the Ministry of Economy.
The value of insured credit agreements over the five-month period amounted to 0.2 billion hryvnias, with 33 agreements supported for 29 exporters during this time.
Enterprises in the Khmelnytskyi region accounted for the largest volume of exports – 4.6 billion hryvnias. Other leading regions included Kyiv (0.9 billion hryvnias), Chernihiv (0.5 billion), Lviv (0.5 billion) and Dnipropetrovsk (0.2 billion) regions.
The main importing countries for products from Ukrainian manufacturers insured by ECA were Germany (1.2 billion UAH), the UAE (0.9 billion), the Netherlands (0.7 billion), Poland (0.7 billion) and Hungary (0.7 billion), Other key destinations included Bulgaria, Denmark, Spain and Sweden (0.6 billion UAH each).
In terms of sectoral breakdown, the share of ferrous metal products amounted to 0.4 billion UAH.
Separately, in May, ECA insured export contracts for Ukrainian manufacturers worth 1.16 billion UAH.
It should be noted that, in 2025, the agency had supported Ukrainian exports to the tune of 10.43 billion UAH, which is almost 39 per cent higher than the figure for 2024. During this period, the ECA insured 84 credit agreements and supported 106 export deals for 75 Ukrainian exporters. In 2024, the corresponding figures stood at 87 loans, 98 agreements and 69 exporters.
Last year, the regions leading in terms of the volume of exports supported were Lviv, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil and Volyn, as well as Kyiv.
