The Cabinet of Ministers included Malyn-Zahid in the register of industrial parks

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine included the Malyn-Zahid industrial park (Zhytomyr region) in the Register of Industrial Parks (IP). As reported representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk on his Telegram-channel, the relevant decision was made at a government meeting.

According to information on the website of the Zhytomyr Regional Council, the decision to create the park was adopted by the Malyna City Council on August 30, 2021. The initiator of the creation of the IP is the Malyna City Council with the support of the Regional Development Agency of the Zhytomyr region.

The area of the park is 15 hectares, the term of operation is 30 years. Industrial enterprises, scientific and technical laboratories and logistics centers can be located in the park.

As reported GMK Center earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed laws No. 5688 and No. 5689 on tax and customs incentives for industrial parks, which were adopted by the Verkhovna Rada less than a month ago.

Draft laws No. 5688 about amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine regarding the creation of favorable conditions for attracting large-scale investments in industrial production and No. 5689 about amendments to the Customs Code of Ukraine on the creation of favorable conditions for attracting large-scale investments in industrial production propose:

  • to exempt from payment of VAT the import of new equipment for the industrial park’s own use for carrying out activities in the processing industry or scientific research activities;
  • exempt residents of the industrial park from income tax for ten years;
  • to give the right to local self-government bodies to set preferential rates of real estate tax and land fees.

As GMK Center wrote before, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has created two new industrial parks in the Chernivtsi region: Khotyn Invest and Bukovyna Energy. They are included in the Register of industrial parks. In turn, the Ministry of Economy declared that the enterprises that will be located within the parks will carry out activities in such areas as light industry, food industry, mechanical engineering, metalworking, production of building materials.
