Tenaris
Tenaris has announced the construction of a new service center in the northeastern part of British Columbia (Canada). The facility will serve the drilling operations of the company’s key clients in the Montney oil and gas region, which is one of the country’s most active energy hubs. This is stated in the company’s press release.
The new center will become the third in Tenaris’s network of service facilities in Canada, joining existing locations in Grande Prairie and Sherwood Park (Alberta). Its opening will enable the company to increase its storage capacity by 7,000 t by the end of 2025.
“Establishing our service center in northeastern British Columbia underscores our commitment to being closer to our customers in the region. It will strengthen our ability to respond quickly, deliver tailored solutions and continue building lasting partnerships through our Rig Direct® services in one of Canada’s most active energy regions,” said Tenaris Canada president Martin Castro.
In addition to the new location, Tenaris’s infrastructure in the country includes an industrial center in Sault Ste. Marie with an annual capacity of 620,000 t of steel pipes, OCTG finishing and threading lines in Nisku, as well as coating facilities in Camrose and Edmonton (Alberta).
Many leading Canadian oil and gas companies have already integrated Tenaris’s Rig Direct® model, which includes technical consulting, logistics, and services to support well integrity. This approach helps reduce costs, improve drilling quality, increase safety at drilling sites, and decrease environmental impact.
Tenaris recently announced the start of construction of its second wind power plant in Argentina – La Rinconada, which is being built in the city of Olavarría, Buenos Aires province. The project foresees the installation of 21 wind turbines with a total capacity of 94.5 MW, and the investment volume amounts to $214 million. The facility is scheduled to be commissioned at the end of 2025.
