Sukha Balka in June commissioned two blocks with reserves of 157 thousand tons

The Sukha Balka mine, part of the DCH group, in June of this year commissioned two new blocks with total reserves of 157 thousand tons of ore raw materials. This is stated in the corporate newspaper DCH Steel.

At the mine named after Frunze prepared block 45-51 of the Druzhba deposit of the horizon -1210 m. The ore deposit Druzhba is marked by very high quality characters. Stocks of raw materials in the new block are 30 thousand tons, it is planned to choose them within three months. When driving mining operations, self-guided equipment was used.

At the Yuvileina mine, a 36-40 block was put into operation, located on the first sub-section of the 1-2 Nest deposit of the -1420 m horizon, with ore deposits of 127 thousand tons. The new block will ensure the stable operation of the Yuvileina mine and the implementation of the plan for 4-5 months.

Since the beginning of the year, 7 new blocks with total reserves of 805 thousand tons have been put into operation at the mine.

As reported by GMK Center, Sukha Balka at the end of 2023 produced almost 931 thousand tons of commercial iron ore. During the past year, the company worked in the mode of maximum resource savings. In particular, equipment was restored on industrial sites with their own hands, and the implementation of the equipment modernization program was continued.

In 2024, the company plans to increase the production of marketable iron ore by 20% compared to 2023 – to 1.134 million tons.

The Sukha Balka mine specializes in underground mining of iron ore and has a capacity of about 3.1 million tons per year, it includes the Yuvileina and Frunze mines.
