378 wagons were rehabilitated by capital repairs, including 78 tanks, 101 grain carriers, 86 gondola wagons, 52 fitting platforms and 61 wagons of other types.
“Most often the wagons are damaged due to the negligence of the users. They often violate state standards when loading or unloading,” the report says.
Prydniprovska Railway in January 2023 repaired 200 freight railcars in specialized repair depots of the Prydniprovska Mainline. In particular, 158 freight railcars underwent depot repairs, and 42 underwent major repairs.
During the past year, Ukrainian Railways restored 2,929 thousand freight railcars, in particular, 691 railcars were overhauled. In addition, railway operator reconstructed and overhauled 470 km of railway tracks. UZ also electrified 82 km of tracks, which is a record for the last 10 years.
