OCTG pipe prices in North America decreased by 6% in July

OCTG prices for North America FOB in July decreased by 6% or $138 to $2218/t.  Over the same period, the WTI price rose by 2.5% from $67.2/bbl.

Obviously, in this case pipe prices were more correlated with the situation in the US oil and gas market, where in July the number of oil and gas drilling rigs in the US decreased by another 13 – to 541. June saw a decline of 19 rigs.

According to Kallanish, prices for welded pipes on Turkey FOB terms rose by $13 – to $575/t in July.  This price trend is fully in line with Turkey FOB hot rolled coil prices, which rose just 3% or $15 to $540/t in July.

In July 2025, the European hot-rolled coil market maintained sluggish dynamics with continued price pressure amid weak demand (seasonal idle time, low activity in the construction and automotive industries) and excess supply.

As GMK Center reported earlier, Interpipe is expanding its presence in foreign markets. The company for the first time manufactured pipes for shallow water subsea operations for the South Akçakoca Sub-Basin (SASB) gas field in the Black Sea. Interpipe also started supplying premium segment tubing for gas production to Romania.
