MIU created a register of damaged and destroyed property

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine (MIU) presented the register of damaged and destroyed property – a single database that will contain information about all residential, transport and social infrastructure that was damaged as a result of the military aggression of the Russian Federation. Departments’ message reportes about it.

The register will be used to provide citizens with compensation for damaged housing, as well as to plan and manage the reconstruction process.

“The creation of the register is the basis for the digital reconstruction of the country. The information about all objects and property destroyed by Russian military aggression, will be accumulated in the register ” said Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

Special commissions created by local self-government bodies and military-civilian administrations will enter the results of the damage inspection into the register. The commissions will verify the data already entered by citizens, in particular through the Diya application. Currently, more than 256,600 applications for damaged or destroyed citizens’ property with a total area of more than 17.7 million square meters have been received through the portal and application.

The Register of damaged and destroyed property will also include information on damaged objects of state and communal property, as well as transport, energy and other infrastructure.

As GMK Center reported earlier, Ukrainian companies have an opportunity to receive compensation for losses to enterprises as a result of Russian aggression. The General Prosecutor’s Office initiates criminal proceedings for war crimes of the Russian Federation with the further involvement of domestic courts, as well as international institutions, in particular the International Criminal Court, the International Court of the United Nations, the European Court of Human Rights.
