Metinvest Group’s united mining and processing plants (Minings) – Northern, Central and Ingulets Minings – paid UAH 1.1 billion in taxes to the budgets of all levels of Ukraine in January-March 2025. This is stated in a press release by Metinvest.Media.
Kryvyi Rih Minings continue to be a pillar for Ukraine and the region. Despite the economic challenges, logistical problems, blackouts and shelling, the enterprises continue to operate and fill budgets to ensure the stable functioning of the country, support its social sphere, defense capability, etc.
“Over the three years of full-scale war, Metinvest’s mining and processing plants have adapted to the new operating environment. We have clear goals and action plans that we adjust as necessary and continue to work responsibly 24/7. Every working day means taxes that fund healthcare, education, and the army… We understand how important it is to contribute to the support of the state and the cities where we live and work,” said Igor Tonev, CEO of Metinvest’s Minings .
In Q1 2025, the largest payments by Minings in terms of volume were subsoil use fees, unified social tax and personal income tax. Land and military fees also accounted for a significant share of payments.
As GMK Center reported earlier, Metinvest Group, including its associates and joint ventures, increased its payments of taxes and duties to the budgets of all levels in Ukraine by 4% in January-March 2025, up to UAH 4.4 billion compared to the same period in 2024.
The top three largest payments were subsoil use fees amounting to UAH 1.2 billion, a single social contribution of UAH 846 million and UAH 751 million in personal income tax.
