Metinvest to invest UAH 70 million in social infrastructure in Kamianske in 2025

Metinvest Group continues to invest in the development of the cities where it operates. In 2025, the company will invest UAH 70 million in the social infrastructure of Kamianske. The relevant Memorandum of Cooperation has already been signed with the city council, the company said in a press release.

The main areas of financing are the renovation of medical facilities and public transport. The plans include the reconstruction of hospitals No. 7 and No. 9, an ambulance hospital, and primary health care center No. 3. In addition, the community will receive five new trams to upgrade public transportation, which should make getting around the city more convenient and modern.

“Metinvest, as part of Rinat Akhmetov’s Steel Front, is focused on helping our indomitable soldiers. At the same time, the Group continues to care for the peaceful residents of the cities where our enterprises operate. We’ve already turned continuing cooperation with the mayor of Kamianske into a fine tradition, as evidenced by the number of initiatives that have been successfully implemented. This year, we are broadening the horizons of our cooperation by launching even more joint projects aimed at developing urban infrastructure, supporting social programmes and improving the community’s quality of life,” said Metinvest’s Chief Operating Officer Olexander Mironenko.

Immediately after signing the memorandum, the company, together with the city authorities, opened the renovated floor of outpatient clinic No. 7 and checked the progress of repairs at hospital No. 9, where the operating room and laboratory are being modernized and the facade is being insulated.

Kametstal CEO Olexander Tretyakov emphasized that the company and the city are a united team.

“The city sets the goals, and we help to achieve them with a sense of pride and responsibility. We see how each step we take together makes Kamianske better, more comfortable and safer. We believe that the joint efforts of business and the local government are key to the sustainable development and prosperity of Kamianske, especially in these difficult times,” he emphasized.

Andriy Bilousov, Mayor of Kamianske, emphasized the importance of such cooperation between business and local authorities in times of war.

In 2024, Metinvest invested UAH 50 million to modernize Kamianske’s hospitals, and Kametstal increased its tax payments by 30% y/y – to UAH 2.8 billion. This allows the city to maintain vital services even in the most difficult times.
