On September 1, the Ukrainian private mining and metallurgical university Metinvest Polytechnic began additional enrollment of students for bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. The institution pays special attention to veterans: they can apply through a simplified procedure involving an online interview. This is part of a strategy to support military personnel in their transition to civilian life through new education and careers, according to a press release from the Metinvest Group.
The university offers modern educational programs that meet the needs of the labor market, ranging from metallurgy and mining to IT, energy, business analytics, and production modernization management. All specialties are licensed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and undergo state accreditation.
The educational process combines online lectures with practical training at Metinvest’s production sites. Students gain real-world experience working with modern technologies, and the best ones have the opportunity to participate in international internships, including at the Promet Steel plant in Bulgaria and with partners in Italy.
Applicants from regions where hostilities are ongoing enjoy preferential terms. The university also actively supports women in choosing technical specialties, creating an inclusive educational environment.
Metinvest Polytechnic offers a flexible study schedule that allows students to combine their studies with work. In addition to the contract form, there is a program from the company that covers the cost of education. Adults can take advantage of the state voucher program to obtain a second specialty.
University graduates gain a competitive advantage in the labor market, and the best ones get their first job at Metinvest and additional incentive programs.
