Metinvest helps restore key departments of Kamenske hospitals

Metinvest Group is helping to restore key departments of Kamenske medical facilities. The anesthesiology and intensive care unit of the city’s emergency hospital has been repaired after the company became a financial participant in the overhaul as part of a memorandum of cooperation with the city council. This is stated in the report of Kametstal.

The medical unit, which annually saves the lives of more than 2.5 thousand patients – residents of Kamenske and Kamenske district – has been updated and improved. After the overhaul, the unit has acquired a modern look. With the level of equipment that provides artificial lung ventilation, patient monitoring, emergency hemodialysis, etc., highly professional doctors have new opportunities for quality treatment.

The Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care maintains a high reputation in the region for effective emergency care for people with polytrauma, strokes, severe poisoning, neurosurgical pathologies, and in difficult postoperative periods.

The overhaul was carried out as part of a large-scale project to restore the city’s three leading hospitals, with Metinvest as one of the participants in the financing.

“I would like to sincerely thank Metinvest Group and our closest partners, Kametstal. Thanks to their support, we are able to implement such important projects for Kamianske as the restoration of three leading hospitals in our city. Together, we are creating modern, comfortable conditions for patients and decent working conditions for our doctors,” said Mayor Andriy Bilousov.

As a result of the partnership between the company and the city in the field of social and economic development, this year major repairs have already been carried out in key departments of leading medical institutions, and systematic cooperation continues and will continue in 2025.

According to Olexander Tretyakov, CEO of Kametstal, Metinvest Group continues to support the residents of Kamenske.

“We believe in the professionalism of our doctors and know that they are ready for any challenge, and we will always be there to help them in their noble cause,” he said.

Under the terms of the Memorandum of Cooperation in Social and Economic Development signed by Metinvest and Kamenske City Council, the community will receive UAH 50 million from the company in 2024-2025 to co-finance the reconstruction of the city’s hospital No. 9 and ambulance service and primary health care center No. 3. The latter two will also undergo major repairs of civil defense facilities. A new bomb shelter will be built in Lyceum No. 22 to meet modern standards.

Metinvest has allocated UAH 8 billion to help Ukraine since the beginning of the war, including UAH 4.4 billion for the needs of the army as part of the Steel Front military initiative.

In particular, as part of its support for communities, the company invests in social infrastructure, repairing schools, hospitals and roads. Under the Saving Lives humanitarian initiative, more than 500,000 people, including affected women and children, received assistance. The Group is also making plans for the post-war recovery of Ukraine, presenting sustainable construction and green transformation projects.
