The company helps defenders to acquire new professions and get higher education

Since the start of the full-scale war, more than 1,700 employees of Metinvest Group have been demobilized. Almost 1,000 veterans have now returned to work for the company, with more than 190 of them working at the company’s integrated mining and processing plant. This is stated in the report of Metinvest Kryvyi Rih.

After demobilization, the company supports veterans by helping them adapt to civilian life and work. If for health reasons they are unable to perform their previous duties, they are offered to learn a new profession or upgrade their skills directly at Metinvest’s enterprises.

In addition, the defenders have the opportunity to receive free higher education at Metinvest Polytechnic Technical University. A simplified procedure is provided for admission: an online interview without exams. Last year, 26 veterans became students of the university, including employees of the company and defenders of Azovstal.

At Metinvest’s mining and processing plants, veterans can take advanced training courses that open up new career opportunities and help them develop additional skills. The company continues to create conditions for the comfortable integration of defenders into the professional environment.

Metinvest Group was recognized in two nominations of the rating of the best employers in Ukraine according to Oboz.ua – “A place for heroes” with a veteran program and “A place for ambitious” with Metinvest Polytechnic University and retraining programs.

Over the three years of the full-scale war, the company has allocated more than UAH 8.4 billion to support Ukraine. A significant portion of these funds – UAH 4.4 billion – was transferred to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of the Steel Front initiative. Even in the difficult conditions of war, Metinvest is investing in the future by helping the army, supporting the economy and preparing for Ukraine’s recovery.
