Metinvest has allocated UAH 9.72 billion to help Ukraine since the start of the war

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Metinvest Group has allocated UAH 9.72 billion to support the state and Ukrainians, of which UAH 5.2 billion has been allocated to the army as part of the Steel Front military initiative. This is stated in the company’s press release.

As noted by Metinvest CEO Yuriy Ryzhenkov, helping the army has been a priority for the group for more than three and a half years, because the future of the country, cities, and industry depends on its resilience.

Despite their proximity to the front line, the company’s enterprises in Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih, and Kamianske continue to operate, adapting to the challenges of war. The main focus is on employee safety. In particular, shelters equipped with everything necessary have been set up at the enterprises, and employees are trained to act in emergency situations.

Metinvest is actively manufacturing products for the front line: 805 “hiding places,” metal shelters for equipment, armor plates, components for Patriot missiles, “Lancet catchers,” and fortifications stretching over 200 km. The army has received over 8,200 drones, 2,000 thermal imagers, 705 vehicles, and over 31,000 first aid kits. The company is also helping to develop tactical medicine and is building underground hospitals.

In addition to supporting the army, Metinvest cares about its employees and communities. In 2025, salaries were increased by 20%, veteran adaptation programs are continuing, and social projects are being implemented in the regions, including the restoration of housing and medical facilities. At the Ukraine Recovery Conference, the company presented Citadel modular shelters for schools and public spaces.

Despite the loss of assets in Mariupol and Avdiivka, Metinvest remains Ukraine’s largest exporter and taxpayer, investing in modernization, green transformation, and the country’s reconstruction.

As a reminder, major repairs are underway on the main building of City Hospital No. 7 in Kryvyi Rih. The project is being implemented in partnership with the city administration, Metinvest Group, and the National Health Service of Ukraine. In total, the company has allocated UAH 61.6 million for the development of project documentation, construction and repair, roofing, and facade work.
