Metinvest hands over all-terrain vehicle to National Guard soldiers in Zaporizhzhia region

As part of its Steel Front military initiative, Metinvest Group has handed over a fast all-terrain buggy worth more than UAH 1.2 million to the National Guard of Ukraine (NGU). This is stated in a press release by Metinvest.Media.

Soldiers of the 15th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine are defending Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia sector. The armies of many countries around the world use these vehicles quite actively, as they have proven to be light, inconspicuous and fast vehicles in all their parameters. From delivering cargo to the front line to performing reconnaissance missions, this is the wide range of buggies used at the front.

“The main advantages of buggies are their invisibility and speed. They can get to places where an ordinary all-terrain vehicle or armored vehicle cannot go. Thanks to these vehicles, our personnel can quickly deliver ammunition and medical supplies, take the wounded from the battlefield, and quickly rotate to our observation posts. This is the support we need and we are grateful that Staley Front is helping us,” said Yevstafiy Mospan, deputy brigade commander for personnel.

From the first days of the full-scale invasion to the present day, the Steel Front military initiative has been providing comprehensive assistance to Ukrainian soldiers defending our country at the front line. Metinvest has already allocated more than UAH 3.4 billion for this purpose.

“This time, soldiers from the Zaporizhzhya sector asked for help from the Steel Front. We responded quickly and purchased a new buggy vehicle for the military in accordance with the requested technical requirements. These are multifunctional, fast and maneuverable vehicles, quite easy to maintain. They have perfect cross-country ability on dirt roads. Now they are an indispensable tool for our defenders to perform combat missions. We unite and work for the sake of Victory!” said Evgeny Avdzhi, Procurement Director of Zaporizhstal.

As GMK Center reported earlier, Metinvest Group, including its associates and joint ventures, increased its payments of taxes and duties to the budgets of all levels of Ukraine by 56% in January-June 2024, up to UAH 9.9 billion compared to the same period in 2023.
